ARSET is part of the NASA Earth Action Program within the Earth Sciences Division. NASA Earth Action provides support and funding to help institutions and individuals make better decisions about their environment.
Since 2009, our program has trained more than 140,000 participants from 186 countries and more than 19,000 organizations worldwide.
The NASA Earth Science Applications Guidebook offers practical advice and expert tips on how to develop and manage projects that apply Earth data to real-world challenges. Available in interactive and pdf formats, the Guidebook is organized in three sections that cover:
The guidebook aims to help scientists deliver on the NASA Earth Science to Action strategy. Originally published in 2021, the guidebook has been updated with new features, scientist insights, application vignettes, and other multimedia that make it tactical, accessible, and actionable.

Please be advised that this guide, as well as our Thematic Resources below, include links from a previous website and have not been updated to include trainings more recent than 2025.
