Online ARSET trainings are open to all and available at no cost.
In-person ARSET trainings are generally hosted in collaboration with a partner institution. We are not able to offer financial assistance to attendees of in-person trainings.
Online Instructor-Led trainings:
We send certificates to participants who attend all live parts of a training and complete the assigned homework by the due date. Certificates will be sent via email 2-3 months after a training concludes. At this time, we do not award certificates for reviewing a past training.
For Online, Self- Paced trainings:
Certificates are awarded to those who complete all modules of a training, the final knowledge check, and complete the post-training survey. Your certificate can be accessed via our online learning platform, and will be sent to you via email.
All Trainings:
Certificates of completion indicate that the attendee participated in all aspects of the training. They do not imply proficiency on the subject matter, nor should they be seen as a professional certification or accreditation.
We can excuse missed attendance in one session.
Our goal is to expand usage of NASA Earth observations, and we want to help. However, we have finite resources and are not able to help everybody one-on-one.
If you have an on-topic question during a live-online training, we invite you to type your answer into the 'Questions' box and we will add it to the list to be answered during the Q&A session. We may not be able to answer all questions live if there is a high volume of questions, but the full document will be posted to the training webpage within a week.
If you’re having difficulty with software that is presented in a training, please look for a solution online or with your IT department. Due to limited resources, ARSET is not able to further assist in the installation process or with software bugs. If there are common issues, we will do our best to address them via the training webpage or training announcement emails.

Yes. Presentation slides can be found on the training pages in PDF format. As long as you do not modify the material in any way, you are welcome to share or use them for teaching.
Please credit NASA ARSET if you use our materials. We are also eager to know the different ways training materials are being used, so please let us know if you use ARSET materials in your teaching by filling out our contact form.
ARSET trainings cover a number of satellites/platforms and their sensors, data products, models and web-based tools that interpret the data produced. Individual training webpages provide details on which satellites and sensors are being used for that particular training.
Our trainings focus on no-cost, open access tools.
The best way to propose future training topics or share general feedback is to submit a survey response. Surveys are sent to participants at the conclusion of every webinar series.
You can also propose a training topic or provide feedback through our contact form.
