Description

This data set contains surface temperature measurements of Arctic and Antarctic sea ice and land ice acquired by the Heitronics KT19.85 Series II Infrared Radiation Pyrometer. The instrument is operated by the Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) as part of the ATM instrument suite. The data were collected as part of the Operation IceBridge funded survey campaigns.

Version Description

Version 2 data provide an improvement of the geolocation of the KT-19 footprints, due to replacing the coarse real-time GPS positions with post-processed differential GPS positions. The post-processed trajectories are the same as used for the ATM lidar processing. The user is encouraged to use Version 2 data. Version 1 data additionally provide data from the National Suborbital Research Center (NSRC), which extend the spatial and temporal coverage.
