This video provides an introduction to new land data products from the joint NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument aboard the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP). 

The Suomi NPP NASA VIIRS data products discussed in the video are distributed by NASA’s Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC). This video covers how to use the LP DAAC website to learn more about the data products, interpret the VIIRS file naming convention, and understand the external metadata.
