The GSFC OMPS/MERRA2 L3 1x1deg Monthly Tropospheric Column Ozone product (TrCO3_Monthly_OMPS) contains tropospheric column ozone amounts averaged by month from 2012 to present. Total column measurements are obtained from the Ozone Mapping Profiler Suite (OMPS) nadir-mapper on the Suomi National Polar orbiting Partnership (NPP) satellite. Tropospheric column ozone (TCO) is derived by subtracting the stratospheric column ozone (SCO) estimated from the Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, Version 2 (MERRA2) ozone fields.

The data are stored in a single netCDF (classic) file. Data are averaged monthly at 1 degree x 1 degree resolution globally. The single data file size is 40.5 MB.
