On July 26, 2026, the building housing Ocean Biology Processing Group servers experienced a mechanical failure that impacted the air handlers that support the server room. While the necessary teams are working to restore the state of the building and bring machines back online, users should expect data processing delays and no access to ocean color data access tools. This includes: OB.DAAC file search, Level 3&4 Browser, Direct Data Access, Cyan File Search.
While these resources are down, please continue to obtain your data from cloud locations through Earthdata Search.
Update July 27, 9:30am:
- Systems are back online
- Data processing requests are resuming
- Ocean Color web tools are back online
Please expect delays on current data availability while systems catch up with processing requests in the queue.

- All servers have caught up to realtime processing requests.
