Description
The Advanced Ground Based Field Mill (AGBFM) network consists of 34
(31 operational) field mills located at Kennedy Space Center (KSC),
Florida. The field mills measure the electrostatic vertical field.
This system can measure electrostatic fields in the range of 4 V/m
to 32 kV/m at 10 Hz resolution (digitized at 50 Hz). Individual
lightning events can be detected within approximately 50 nautical
miles of KSC proper.
