Description
The DC-8 Two Dimensional Stereo Probe Data (2DS) is a particle imager that obtains stereo cloud particle images and concentrations using linear array shadowing. This uses two diode lasers operating at 45 mW. These data were collected during the Tropical Composition, Cloud, and Climate Coupling (TC4) field campaign. This field campaign took place in the tropical Eastern Pacific and Caribbean Sea with the primary goal to better understand the role that the tropical tropopause layer (TTL) plays in Earth’s climate and atmospheric chemistry. These files are available in ASCII text file format divided between vertical and horizontal probe channels. These data were collected between June 28, 2007 through August 10, 2007.
