All NASA Polar Radiant Energy in the Far InfraRed Experiment (PREFIRE) datasets are now publicly available through NASA's Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC). This public release includes Level 1 Radiance, retrieved Level 2 products, Level 3 climatologies, and supporting auxiliary products. The Level 2 science data collections include a Cloud Mask, Spectral Flux, Surface Emissivity, and Atmospheric Properties (which provides surface temperatures, vertical temperature and water vapor profiles, and column water vapor), and the Level 3 products are 1°x1° gridded, monthly climatologies of Level 2 Surface Emissivity.
Delivery of Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi NPP) satellite data products will cease on November 1, 2026. Data users should transition now to alternative products from NOAA-21 and NOAA-20.
