The NASA's Level-1 and Atmosphere Archive and Distribution System Distributed Active Archive Center (LAADS DAAC) has executed a soft release of the Version 2.0 Joint Polar Satellite System-2 (JPSS-2/ NOAA-21) Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance products. A soft release means that users can directly access and download these data products from the LAADS DAAC’s archive. They can also search and acquire them via the Earthdata portal.
These JPSS-2 VIIRS products provide estimates of surface reflectance derived from the following twelve VIIRS reflective bands: I1-I3 (I-bands at 375 m resolution), M1-M5, M7, M8, M10, and M11 (M-bands at 750 m resolution).
VJ209 is the short-name for this L2 orbital swath-based, atmospherically corrected surface reflectance product at 375 meter and 750 meter resolutions.
