The following ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS) Version 1 data products are scheduled to be decommissioned on September 30, 2025:

  • ECOSTRESS Evapotranspiration PT-JPL Daily L3 Global 70m Version 1 (ECO3ETPTJPL)
  • ECOSTRESS Water Use Efficiency Daily L4 Global 70m Version 1 (ECO4WUE)
  • ECOSTRESS Evaporative Stress Index PT-JPL Daily L4 Global 70m Version 1 (ECO4ESIPTJPL)
  • ECOSTRESS L3/L4 Ancillary data Quality Assurance (QA) flags L3 Global 70m Version 1 (ECO3ANCQA)

As part of this transition, access to all ECOSTRESS Version 1 products in the Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AppEEARS) and Open-source Project for a Network Data Access Protocol (OPeNDAP) will be disabled on September 2, 2025. Users are encouraged to transition to the ECOSTRESS Version 2 data products.

ECOSTRESS Level 3 and 4 dis-ALEXI Version 1 data products (ECO3ETALEXI and ECO4ESIALEXI), along with the associated geolocation data (ECO1BGEO), will remain available from the Earthdata Cloud until December 1, 2025, as processing of dis-ALEXI Version 2 data is being completed.

Explore and access ECOSTRESS version 2 data products using NASA’s Earthdata Search and AppEEARS. A complete listing of ECOSTRESS version 2 data products available in AppEEARS can be found on the Available Products list

Visit the ECOSTRESS Data Resources GitHub Repository for guides and tutorials showing how to find and access the latest version of ECOSTRESS data.
